Global Aerosystems client embeds coaching into the business culture
April 2010 concludes delivery the final phase of coaching development for executives and manual workers for a global Aerosystems client. Involving the Trade Union in the process was key to the success of the programme. The senior Trade Union Convenor and Alan Sneddon delivered the initial sessions which helped manual workers to understand more about coaching in the business before the start of the 12-month coach development programme. This final stage enables self sufficiency in the delivery of coaching for the business and embeds coaching into the business culture as a key subset tool within the HR toolset in delivering the business strategy.

IFKAD congress at Glasgow University
February 2009 saw us deliver a paper on Intangible Assets Management Continuous Professional Development (IAM CPD) at the International Forum for Knowledge Assets Dynamics (IFKAD) at Glasgow University. The excellent event had speakers ranging from Nick Nairn who provided a compelling talk on how Nick Nairn's Cook School came into being and exploited intangible assets, to passionate thoughts from Professor Giovanni Schiuma, Scientific Director of the Centre for Value Management at University Basilicata in Italy and insightful perspectives from Goran Roos, Visiting Professor of Innovation Management and Business Model Innovation at VTT Technical Research Centre in Finland.
Introducing our work to people from a wide range of disciplines provided a useful opportunity to obtain feedback to inform the future direction of IAM CPD. The event completed a major development phase with the Intellectual Assets Centre resulting in a framework for IAM CPD. The framework provides a method of visualising a structure for CPD for those entering and practicing in the field of IAM and as a foundation for others to build on. To maximise the value generated by the development of the framework, the Centre's Advisor network will be included in our work during 2009. This will provide insight to the CPD activity of Advisors and enable delivery of appropriate professional pathway development to support the Scottish SME market.
